[NEWS] LAGOS STATE GOVERNOR ORDERS REOPENING OF ALL SCHOOLS

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered the reopening of all schools in the state from September 14th, two weeks from today.

Schools like other institutions in the state and country at large were shut down about 6 months ago after the break out of COVID-19 in the country.

However, the Governor, in a regular briefing on the state’s COVID-19 status, said all tertiary institutions in the state will re-open from September 14th while primary and secondary schools are also tentatively scheduled to re-open from September 21.

“This decision is not cast in stone and is subject to review of our ongoing modelling and what procedure comes out from the Ministry of Health,” Sanwo-Olu said.
